On February 10th, the first brick was laid for the Lawrence S. Ting Foundation's Outreach Services in 2023.
This time, we visited Thanh Binh Thinh commune, Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh province, which is home to over 300 elderly and underprivileged people in need of quality healthcare.

Thanks to the companionship and support from Phu Hung Insurance Joint Stock Company (Phu Hung Life), and 20 experienced, highly qualified doctors and medical staff who works in prestigious hospitals and clinics in Ho Chi Minh City such as Cho Ray Hospital, 115 People's Hospital, 7A Military Hospital, Sai Gon Tan Thuan General Clinic Unit and North Saigon General Clinic Unit, etc. were cooperated to provide free, essential and high quality healthcare services to people in need in Thanh Binh Thinh commune.
The campus of Thanh Binh Thinh commune's health center was crowded with locals from the start. Everyone wanted to be examined and needed to be advised by health professionals in order to help them take better care of their own health and families.
During the examination, people, step by step, underwent blood pressure test, general internal medical examination, otorhinolaryngology, and abdominal ultrasonography and screening for some common diseases. With the motto "Prevention is better than cure," doctors have dedicatedly provided knowledge in the most effective and understandable way for disease prevention for individuals of different ages. After the free medical examination, people are also prescribed by doctors and given free medicines.
In the immediate term, the program's wish is that everyone have better access to healthcare, provide an opportunity for early screening and timely detection of the disease to optimize treatment, result in reducing the burden of healthcare expenditure; In the long term, this meaningful activity aims to improve the quality of life and protect the community's health as well as contribute positively to the society’ well-being and happiness.

Furthermore, more than 300 essential gift sets (worth more than VND 200.000 each) prepared by Phu Hung Life were distributed to the elderly and people with difficulties. During the past years, the Lawrence S.Ting Foundation has carried out many projects in the companionship with Phu Hung Life to provide support to disadvantaged communities such as Dinh Thien Ly Charity Walk, Wheelchair Distribution, and the most highlighted project “Improved Financial Literacy for Women Living in Mekong Delta Region”.

“Everyone deserves quality healthcare services” - We jointly implemented the medical checkup and donating medicines. To successfully organize this Outreach Services, we would like to express our most sincere thanks to Phu Hung Life Company, the donors who have supported Lawrence S. Ting Foundation in numerous social and charitable events. At the same time, we would like to send our heartfelt appreciation for the dedicated doctors, other donors, the People Committee and Health Centre of Thanh Binh Thinh commune, as well as volunteers, for bringing their love and care to the local community.
