On January 04th, 2019, Lawrence S. Ting Foundation in collaboration with the Sponsoring Association for the Disabled, Orphans, and Poor Patients in Dong Thap Province delivered 96 wheelchairs to people with disabilities.

We understand that people with mobility impairments face many difficulties in their daily lives. In order to provide assistive devices to people with disabilities and boost their self - confidence, since 2009, Lawrence S. Ting Foundation has started implementing the "Wheelchairs of Love" Initiative.

On January 04th, 2019, in partnership with Dong Thap Sponsoring Association for the Disabled, Orphans and Poor Patients, our foundation held a ceremony to hand over the wheelchairs in Cao Lanh City in Dong Thap Province. At this ceremony, 96 wheelchairs, equivalent to the amount of VND 161 million, were provided to disabled people living in Dong Thap, who are in disadvantaged circumstances, This is the third time that our foundation, together with Dong Thap Sponsoring Association for the Disabled, Orphans and Poor Patients, implements this Initiative.

Currently, the "Wheelchairs of Love" Initiative has been spread out to 63 cities and provinces and directly supports about 24,000 people with disabilities in Vietnam, allowing them to move more freely in their daily lives. More importantly, it has also enhanced their sense of pride and self-reliance. We will continuously implement this Initiative to bring more positive impacts to the disabled across the country.
